Folks began arriving early, and were surprised that we hadn't received more rain, since 20 miles south of us had gotten 3 inches that early morning! The skies were cloudy and gray, and it sprinkled from 10 to 11AM, just enough to settle the dust so the cattle sorters didn't have to eat dirt all afternoon! The sun peeked out at 12 noon, and it was a great day for a sale!

Cattle were sorted into 15 different pens for buyer viewing. Donors and herdbulls were also on display.

Sale attendees were treated to a "Carved on the spot" BBQ Brisket
luncheon, catered by the Cox Brothers BBQ, Manhattan, KS.

The front porch on the Moser ranchhouse was the site for the lunch. The
food was delicious and the old-fashioned front porch kept most folks dry
during the drizzly lunch hour!

Val and Lori Eberspacher managed the sale for us. They were pretty busy
on sale day, so we could never get them to stop long enough for a
picture! The clerking table was a busy spot on Friday afternoon

The cowboys out back moving cattle kept things moving all afternoon. We
had four guys horseback and six other guys sorting and bringing cattle
to the sale ring. We couldn't have done it without them!

Spring Calving Female Dispersal Sale

Harry & Lisa Moser and Family hosted the Moser Ranch Spring Calving Female Dispersal Sale on Friday, September 23rd at the ranch near Wheaton, KS. Buyers from North Dakota to Texas filled the cattle barn at the Moser Ranch to purchase the consistent, time tested genetics presented in the spring calving part of the firm’s cow herd. Cattle sold into 15 states during the 3 ½ hour action.
