Many thanks to all bidders and buyers at our 4th Annual Commercial Customer Female Sale!  Holton Livestock was packed with people that Friday evening as nine Moser customers sold approximately 150 head of bred cows, bred heifers and open heifer calves as a part of Holton Livestock’s “Special Cow Sale” held on January 13, 2012.  The market was strong, with Moser-sired 1/2 Sim x 1/2 Angus black blazefaced heifers bred to Moser Angus bulls topping at $2200.  One package of ten 3-year-old females, bred to calve this March brought $2035.  A consignment of black spring bred heifers to calve in February ranged from $1960 for a draft of 15 head, $1810 for a draft of 5, $1825 for 5 and $1725 for the final draft of 10 head.  Open heifer calves topped out at $1135 for a set of fancy red heifers, with the majority selling from $1100 to $925.  Cows from 6-7 years brought $1725-1750/head.  All cattle in the Moser Influenced portion of the sale were consigned by Moser customers.  Seventeen cattlemen added Moser Influenced Genetics to their herds at Holton Livestock’s Special Cow Sale on January 13, 2012.  We appreciate everyone’s attendance that evening!
