Puppies for the Scrapbook...

All the puppies have been spoken for! Thank you so much for your interest in our Border Collies.
Judging from the inquiries we had, we'll plan to have another litter next spring and then hopefully at our 2007 sale! Thank you again to everyone who called.

We lost a faithful friend and wonderful cattle helper when our Border Collie, Gus, died on July 19, 2006. He was 11 years old, and his age combined with the summer heat took its toll.  Gus is pictured here doing what he liked when he wasn't herding cattle-jumping up to catch a Frisbee or a stick.

He would play fetch all day long in his younger days. This past winter we let him in the garage at night, and his "playing fetch" times didn't last near as long this spring when the weather warmed up as they had in previous years. Lisa did manage to catch him in a rare moment in June when he was still bound and determined to catch a stick that Kayla had thrown in the air. Too bad she didn't get the stick in the picture!

Gus's legacy will live on at the Moser Ranch, as the most recent litter of puppies arrived on September 11, 2006. They are out of a son of Gus, who goes by the name of "Pete-the Wonder Dog". He is as good a stock dog as his father was.

We'll miss you, Gus, especially at bull gathering time...rest easy under that big old shade tree by the working corrals.

God Bless
Our Troops

Who says you can't have a rainbow in Kansas in December?! This photo was taken at chore time on December 17, 2003, after a quick rain/ice pellet storm passed through our part of the world. It didn't seem to bother the Moser Ranch cattle, as they didn't miss a beat to come to the feed bunks! Anything can happen in the "Land of OZ"!
