Harry & Lisa,

I just wanted to Thank You for your professionalism in everything you do. I also wanted to let you know that the PowerDrive Bull that we purchased from you in 2006 has produced some outstanding replacement females. These heifers were the first round of half-bloods on our operation for nearly 20 years and so far they are far superior to the almost full-blood Angus Heifers that are among the 2007 replacement females. I also have a goal of trying to make an impact on other operations in my area and I think that the two Preferred Beef Bulls I recently purchased have done just that. Three more neighbors have now decided to purchase Simmental bulls for there Spring 2008 bull purchases. We are in the transition on our operation from Angus Bulls to Simmental to get that 50/50 combo in our cows. Where I will go from that, I'm not sure, but I do plan to stay with you for that transition.

Thanks,

Zach Teter

Thought you might find this interesting. This is the 0078K cow that we got from you. The bull calf at her side is a Redcoat son. He weaned off at an adj 205 day weight of 792 which is a ratio of 114 in our bunch. If he'll keep up this pace until he's a year old and then put the brakes on, we'll have what we've been looking for.

Hope things are well down your way.

RE: 6012F Progeny

Good Day,

I feel like a broken record but it is not often enough that a producer hears of "good news" 6012 just flat continues to get the job done after 9 years in production. This year she has another Powerdrive bull that has done a remarkable job. 90 lb birth weight and a actual weaning weight of 715 at 6 months of age with no creep and above average dry conditions. we are only offering this bull (Final Drive) in the Ohio Expo due to the purchase of a Lucky Dice son we found out of Walsh's sale in 2005 that has really proved himself to us with his first set of calves.

We sold a full sib to Final Drive in 2003 that was high seller in the Ohio expo. Which reminds me, I really appreciated your interest in the Dream On heifer this last Spring. It means a lot to have the interest of you and your program. I am far from an expert but your program definably reflects "rock solid" with the 2 cows we have bought as well as their progeny. The Dream on heifer is about 10 miles from me and is just a sow like 6012! she consistently was 2nd and 3rd in class all year around here. She just wasn't the "jackpot steery kind". Its frustrating because as you know that kind doesn't make honest cows.

I have the confidence that this Final Drive bull is lease quality compared to what I see from a structure aspect and overall makeup that is out there as well as the predictability piece. He is stout like a Powerdrive but has that really nice Zinger shoulder and the rib of a 600U. I have pondered on taking him to Denver but it is  hard to justify the expenses that are involved but at the same time people don't know what they don't know.

Hope all is well with the fall calving, I am shooting ad pictures in a couple weeks  of my Ohio cattle that I will share with you.

Best Regards,

H&L: New Bull...AKA Percy...The young fellow has demonstrated exceptional manners and disposition, a diligence for accomplishment of specified job description and maintenance of an outstanding professional demeanor, however he does indicate a predisposition for excessive range cube consumption if not properly monitored...(how's that for a bureaucratic set of reasons). We couldn't be more pleased!

Old Bull...AKA...Cookie Monster...Last fall's preg check indicated a 100% conception rate...this calving season resulted in 100% live deliveries with no pulls...love those calving ease bulls...the moral to this is, to appreciate those time's when everything comes together. Have a good summer!!!

Harry & Lisa:
I just wanted to let you know that I sold my calves last Thursday at Marysville and was very happy with   the way the calves turned out. It's not as good as in   years past but we all knew it couldn't last with corn prices going up like they are. These calves were the best set I've sold so far. I'm going to take most of the credit  but I figured I better throw you guys a bone or two since  your bulls had a lot to do with it.Thanks for all of your  hard work and keep the good bloodlines coming. Below is a  list of how they sold and oh yea I did make sure everyone at the sale knew where I buy my bulls.

          Weight                   $/cwt/hd
Strs.    727                      94.25
           812                      93.10
           924                      93.25 weaned @ 723lbs

Hfrs.    732                      91.00
            842                      86.00

Forgot to mention we topped the market in all wt. classes for the day.
Thanks again,

Hey Harry,
I just got a call from my vet on the results of the flush on Prestine’s Dream.  She made 20 embryos but only 10 were fertilized.  The good thing was that all 10 were number 1’s and she responded very well to the shots.  We got her bred a little late since I didn’t do it myself and probably would have gotten a little more if we bred her Friday night instead of Saturday morning.  She was Lutalysed and should be back in heat in 10 days, so we can start setting her back up if you would like.  My semen tank is still in Ohio with Jim Wymer and I’m planning on going out to get it next weekend or the following weekend after Shesa Daisy is flushed.  I don’t know if you would be willing or not but I would like to split a flush on her with your new bull, if not I understand.  Another question I had was about a red heifer I have out of Jerry Walsh’s G84 cow.  She is a Dream On daughter and I am looking for ideas on what to breed her to.  Hope all is well in your part of the world and I look  forward to working with you.

Thanks again,

Hi,
Thanks for your continued interest in my program.  Fate was on my side the day I flipped through the Sim-Talk magazine at a meeting in Denver.  I noticed ‘Tank’ and then just happened to have Harry sitting next to me!!  He has given my program some uniqueness and put my Red and Black programs on the map.

You are classy people and I follow your program through your mail outs.  I am sure that we will meet again somewhere down the road.

Hi Moser family,
I just wanted to let you know how extremely pleased I am with the two red bred heifers we purchased from you all at the spring calving dispersal.  The heifers we bought were 4040P (2247758) and 4545P (2247799).  Both were  bred to Dream On, and the red calves turned out great. One heifer and one bull. The heifers, now cows, stayed in excellent body condition all winter on  just hay, and adapted well to predominantly fescue pasture. Both have nice  udders and plenty of milk.  They had their second calf this month.  I wanted to  let you know about the Dream On bull calf out of 4545P.  We sent him to one of our state BCIA bull tests.  We decided to keep him to use within our  herd, so
he didn't sell.

Here is his performance:

Adj. 205 wt.=  720lbs with no creep, ratio 112
Adj. 365 wt.=  1360 lbs.,ratio 105
Test ADG=  4.47, ratio 112
WDA=  3.48,ratio 100
Frame=  6.3
Scrotal=  42.5cm
Ultrasound IMF=  2.79, ratio 94
Ultrasound backfat=  0.27, ration 99
Ultrasound REA=  13.7, ratio 93 (he looks heavier muscled than what he scanned)

Again, we are real pleased with the Moser cattle and would like to purchase more females in the future.

Harry,Lisa,

Good Morning, Just wanted to share with you that 6012F continues to do it for us.. I have attached a flyer for you that shows some of the progeny she has had. We are selling an outstanding Dream On heifer out of her this Sat at the Ohio Beef Expo. We have an Intimidator out of 6012 in production this year that has a very good P Beef bull calf on her and doing a great job. 6012 has another Powerdrive bull calf this year that looks as good as the others she has had. She is 11 years old this year - time sure flys by…  I am planning on flushing her this year finally. She has never been natural serviced, always bred back AI the first time and has won an Excellent Cow Award as of last year..  I wish I had 40 just like her, that is why I have kept daughters of her - Consistency and Predictability!

Take Care,

Lisa & Harry,
Thank You for your excellent hospitality and the fact that you were able to take time out of your busy schedule to show us around. I also want to thank you again for all that you helped us with in planning the trip.

Thanks again for the tour, and I hope the WVU Items are a fine addition to your collection.

I just wanted to thank you and the family for the gracious hospititality you showed the Ag. Marketing class during their spring break tour. They certainly had a lot of good things to say about the Moser Ranch and were most appreciative of your time and support. It was an added bonus to recognized their trip on your website. Unfortunately I was not able to travel with the group this spring but hope to get to visit with you some time in the near future.
If you are traveling in this area in the future feel free to contact me if you have time to visit or need any assistance!

Sincere Thanks,

Hello Good People. I enjoyed the sale and I could understand the auctioneer most of the time. I liked the big lots so I could see the bulls move around. Buying bulls by phone is nice for one does not have to travel. Seeing them is a lot better. I enjoy looking at bulls and I especially enjoy buying them.

Yes, my daughter was with me. You all must meet sometime. She will be running this place someday. She is a very good cowboy and does not mind getting down in the muck or whatever.

I would like to take you to lunch or supper! When you get ready to deliver the bulls let me know and we will arrange to meet and set something up.

Thanks for the discount and your effort to produce good bulls. You are on the mark!
Sue Eden, Lenapah, OK

(Sue had purchased all her bulls since 2000 over the phone and was able to attend our sale in person for the first time in February 2006)

Yes, we all had a great time! We can't wait for your sale - Sam's really anxious to see your ranch. As always, we were impressed with the way that you all promote your cattle.  You have impeccable hospitality and exceptional marketing techniques. Thanks for being ahead of the game with all the new things that come about, too! It sure gets people to thinking, doesn't it!
